Dear Customers,

Further to our message last month and in case you didn't get it here's just
a quick word about our previous mailing list problems. We had a few teething
problems with our new provider and the situation has now been rectified. We
apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If you weren't expecting mail from us and wonder why you have, it is because
either
a) you were previously on the Halfmoon's mailing list
b) you have purchased tickets online or over the phone and have opted to
receive information from us.

As this is a private list your address will never be shared/ sold to any
other company. You can unsubscribe at any time but hopefully you'll stay on
the list and recieve our monthly Gig Guide, as well as occassional special
announcements and offers including first-chance ticket offers for those
extra special events. 

NEWS: HALFMOON REFURBISHMENT 

We our delighted with our facelift and so far the feedback has been
brilliant. We re-opened last Thursday to a packed gig with three popular
local bands, The Reqiems, Pirate Soul Museum and Judy Fights back. We think
you'll find the main bar area a much more pleasant environment to drink in,
and the new design has given the place a great atmosphere. The venue room is
unchanged save for a brand new, state of the art LED stage lighting system -
very swish! Although nearly complete, some works are still ongoing and in a
couple of weeks we'll be boasting brand new, extended toilet facilities.

PPUK CHARITY GIG

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out to support last Sunday's PPUK
fundraiser gig. Parent Project UK is a charity that was set up to raise
awareness of sufferers of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a disease that
affects over 1,500 children and tragically kills approx 100 young boys in
the UK each year. A substantial line up of many of the Halfmoon's favourite
bands performed, many acoustically, and there was also comedy and magic and
our bar staff generously donated their wages. It was a fantastically fun
event and we raised just under £1,700.

Sun 30 | DAVE SWARBRICK & MARTIN CARTHY Martin Carthy is recognised as a
virtuoso folk guitarist and was resident at London's top folk club, the
Troubadour. Teaming up with fiddler Dave Swarbrick, they skilfully mixing
traditional material with contemporary interpretation and have established a
musical rapport that remains undiminished to this day £12
